Battle of Khaybar

The Battle of Khaybar was fought between Jews and Muslims about 150 kilometres from Medina in 627 CE. Khaybar was a Jewish strong fortress which occupied the large area. In the fort of Khaybar, plenty of dangerous weapons were prepared against Muslims by the Jews. Since Jews were a bitter enemy of Muslims and had many hostilities against Muhammad (SAW), so they planned to attack Medina. Thus, Muslim army did not give Jews to chance to excel from Khaybar.

As the Muslim army appeared, the Jews began to run away and took their positions at different spots of Khaybar fortress. Three days long only the arrows were thrown from both sides because the Khaybar fortress was very complicated regarding its construction. The chief of Khaybar was the brave warrior known as Marhab who had unique skills during the fight. That is why the Muslims could not defeat them in the first three attempts. Eventually, the Prophet of God gave the flag in the hand of Ali (RA) who entered in the fortress in very first attempt and met with Marhab.

After the dialogues from both sides, Ali (RA) attacked Marhab and separated his head from his body. In this way, the Battle of Khaybar was won by the Muslims army where they got much exotic weapons and food as well.
